WHICH CARDS ARE ACCEPTED AT SLOW BARCELONA?

We work with the financial institution Banc Sabadell, that connects to REDSYS and creates a 100% secure payment gateway (a virtual POS terminal, or virtual Point of Sale terminal). We accept payments through VISA, VISA ELECTRON, MASTERCARD and MAESTRO.

HOW DO CARD PAYMENTS WORK?

Banc Sabadell’s solution for Internet payments consists of a virtual POS terminal that is hosted by SERVIRED servers (through its subsidiary Redsys) and is accessible through the Network by merchants from its virtual stores. Slow Barcelona automatically connects with REDSYS with all security protocols and the client can enter their security information and keys to make the purchase. Also, for your safety, a key with a 6-digit number will be sent to the phone linked to the purchase card. This is the purchase process in detail:

1. You select the product that you would like to purchase from Slow Barcelona.
2. Slow Barcelona redirects your browsing session. Redsys’ virtual POS terminal takes control and safely authenticates your method of payment.
3. As soon as the payment has been finalised, the virtual POS terminal informs Slow Barcelona, and returns the browsing session so that you can keep browsing through Slow Barcelona.

IS IF SAFE TO PURCHASE ONLINE USING MY CARD?

Nowadays it is completely safe to make card purchases through the internet, thanks to the international security protocols that banks fulfil. In addition to the authentication of your card information, our payment gateway and your bank will carry out an additional verification in one of the following ways:

• OTP or One Time Password: a one-time use code that will be sent to the mobile phone of the card’s owner as an SMS.
• CIP: request of a code associated to the card.
• IVR: the cardholder will receive a phone call on their mobile, announcing the amount of purchase and requesting a code.
• Virtual Bank: the cardholder will be redirected to the website of his/her bank. SAS will confirm that the response comes from the bank.

Banc Sabadell guarantees maximum security in payments made with VISA, VISA ELECTRON, MASTERCARD and MAESTRO cards.

IS MY CARD INFORMATION IN GOOD HANDS?

Your card information is managed directly by Redsys, through its servers, guaranteeing the good management of your confidential data. Slow Barcelona Events is in no way knowledgeable nor does it store the data of your credit card or your confidential information.

Redsys carries out a secure, quality and efficient payment. The only thing that Slow Barcelona can store is your personal information, such as your name, phone number, address and e-mail address, that you provide at the moment of order or request. Said information is subject to the data protection law as mentioned in the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy pages.

WHAT SECURITY MEASURES DOES SLOW BARCELONA IMPLEMENT?

Banc Sabadell incorporates a Virtual POS Terminal (Redsys) with secure electronic payment, supporting the international protocols (Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode, J-Secure…), which are based on 3D Secure technology.

WHAT ARE VERIFIED BY VISA AND MASTERCARD SECURECODE?

With Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode, the owner’s authentication is achieved when the purchase is made, that is, the client identifies himself as the legitimate owner of the card he/she is using. To do this, during the purchase process, which will be done in a similar way to the current one, you will be presented with a page where you will be asked to enter an authentication key. This system receives the common name of CES (Secure Electronic Commerce). A 6-digit code that you must enter to verify the purchase will be sent to the mobile phone associated with the card.

DO I NEED TO SET UP AN ACCOUNT TO MAKE A PURCHASE?

No. Setting up an account with Slow Barcelona is optional when it comes to making a purchase. You can read our privacy policy here. If you intend on making additional purchases through our website, having an account will make things easier for both of us, to access your order history, etc.

All browsing activity of the website, such as user registration data and user account management are secure thanks to an encrypted connection, and this means that your personal information cannot be intercepted.

WHICH E-COMMERCE PLATFORM DOES SLOW BARCELONA USE?

We use WooCommerce for WordPress, with the official integration of Redsys. This platform is used by millions of online stores (39% of all online stores), so we’re in good company. We immediately implement the security updates of the platforms and its components, and we have firebreaks and other live safety measures in place to protect both our website and all the information that is stored in our system that do not include our customers’ payment data, which is processed directly by the bank through its servers.
